Awaken from your winter slumber and embrace the longer days and sunshine of spring in our seaside town of Llandudno. With a wide range of activities and events, Llandudno makes for the perfect destination for all the family. Here are our favourites to help you start planning your spring or summer break –
For the Adventurer
This year the Welsh Coastal Path is celebrating its 10th birthday! The 870-mile path takes in 100 beaches and runs from the Welsh border near Chester to Chepstow in the southeast. If you don’t fancy the whole stretch, Llandudno is the perfect base to explore shorter routes ranging from 6.5 – 10.5 miles. Alternatively amble up to the Great Orme to take in the impressive views before heading back to The Terrace for a spot of lunch!
Fun for all the Family
The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza returns! Running from 30th April to 2nd May the vintage event takes over the main streets of Llandudno with various activities from the daily parade to comedy shows and the free family circus – not to mention the vintage vehicle and engine exhibit.
For the Nature Lover
Marvel at Bodnant Garden’s spectacular Laburnum Arch in all its glory. Believed to be both the longest and oldest in Britain; the arch is 55-metres long and was created 142 years ago by Henry Pochin, Founder of Bodnant Gardens. From 22nd May – 13th June Bodnant Garden is extending their opening times to allow more visitors the chance to enjoy the arch in bloom.
For the Classic Car Lover
Classic car enthusiasts rejoice in the spectacle of the Three Castles Rally. Why not take a morning stroll along Llandudno Promenade and admire over one hundred beautiful classic cars? The cars will be on display each morning before departing as well as a two-hour show on 7th June from 10 am.
