Just a 7 minute drive or 25 minute walk from our hotel, you can take a trip to West Shore Beach in Llandudno. If you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere on your beach visit, West Shore is the place to visit as opposed to North Shore beach Promenade. With picturesque views of the local area and a spot to enjoy a bike to eat, there is everything you need for a fun-packed family beach day out.
Newborough, Isle of Anglesey
Newborough beach offers the largest sand dunes in Britain, shaped from thousands of years by the wind and sea in the area. This location doesn’t just offer a beach. On site, you can also take a trip to the popular Newborough Forest, where you may be able to spot some red squirrels on route, alongside the Corsican pine trees.
This location is home to an array of trails to explore, including nature, animal, lake view and the red squirrel discovery trail. Fancy cycling this route instead? Get involved in the Bikequest Nature Challenge and Corsica Bike Trail.
Conwy Morfa Beach
Golden sands, dog friendly and perfect for swimming, Conwy Morfa beach is a great spot to visit during your trip to North Wales. If you’re a keen fisherman or enjoy capturing sights of the local wildlife, this is a great location for a spot of bird watching too!
Close by, you will find the small town of Conwy. This is a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat, visit some local shops and also a chance to visit the history and heritage of Conwy Castle. Just a short walk from here, you can visit Conwy Marina, which showcases a selection of small and large boats along the sea. Boat trips are also available here.
North Shore Beach, Llandudno
If you want to stay local and visit a beach closer by, North Shore Beach is on our doorstep! This beach is at the heart of the Welsh town, situated alongside Wales’ longest pier. Here, you can take a trip to the arcades, hop on traditional fairground rides and also grab a bite to eat – but watch out for the seagulls!
If you’re looking for family fun activities, then this beach will keep you busy all day. You can also find a small paddling pool along the beach too!
Trearddur Bay Beach, Anglesey
Known as one of Anglesey’s top beaches, Trearddur Bay beach is a great family spot with golden sand and award winner of the blue flag for cleanliness and good facilities. Located just a few miles from Holyhead, this long curved beach gets sun throughout the day.
If you’re a fan of watersports, Trearddur Bay beach is a great location for sailing, canoeing and jet skies too! On-site, you can also find shops, cafes and restaurants, giving you a chance to take in the local surrounding area during your visit.
Beaumaris Beach
A pretty location with pastel coloured houses sitting along the shore, Beaumaris Beach is one of the islands most loved beaches. On site, you will find a pier which separates the beach.
If you want to explore the open water further, hop on the boat trips available, which provide access to visiting popular fishing spots close to Puffin Island. This beach can get busy quickly, so it’s advised to grab your spot early in the morning if you’re wanting to sit back and relax on the beach all day. Along the Promenade, you can capture the views towards Snowdonia through to the Great Orme.
