Events Manager

Here at the Imperial Hotel, are looking for an Events Manager to join our busy Events department. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised and passionate about providing excellent customer service.

Type – This role is 40 hours per week, worked 5 days out of 7. Some weekend days maybe required as well as some overtime.

Location – The Imperial Hotel, Llandudno, North Wales

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures and communicating with other departments effectively
  • Adhering to all company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Managing group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • Identifying operational challenges associated with events and determining how to best solve these challenges or develop alternative solutions.
  • Setting a positive example for guest relations.
  • Coordinating and communicating event details both verbally and in writing to the customer, hotel management and employees.
  • Following up with customer post-event.
  • Responding to and handling guest problems and complaints.
  • Up-selling products and services throughout the event process.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Experience in organising weddings and conferences (essential)
  • Knowledge of the PMS system, OPERA  (desirable)
  • Event Management experience of 1 year (preferred)
